The per-card explainer is designed to run privately when the device supports on-device language features. If that path is unavailable, Hipocampus falls back to a local study-template explanation rather than sending your card text to third-party model APIs.
We use Apple services for App Store purchases, optional Sign in with Apple, and local notifications. Subscription validation uses a small backend that stores purchase state and account identifiers, not your card content.
Hipocampus is for adult professional-exam candidates and is not intended for users under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove the account.
Sign out from Settings to revoke our token. Tap Delete my account in Settings (or email mitsi@uptrail.ai) to permanently delete every byte associated with your account; we respond within 30 days.
